Minutes of the Old Lyme Economic Development Commission Meeting of 6/4/14
Meeting commenced at 8 AM in the Old Lyme Town Hall. Present were Bob Jose, Susan Howard, Gerry Foster, John Stratton, Bill O’Meara, Joe Camean and Heather Gagnon. Visitors were Bonnie Reemsnyder and M.J. Nosal.
We discussed the following topics:
1. Real estate news from last month showed 43 sold in town so far this year with 150 listings and 22 under contract. Seventeen on market are over 1MM. Market appears to have slowed particularly $400M and up.
2.The UNH/ Lyme Academy merger is moving forward, assessments underway. John has a contact for a future meeting with UNH and the EDC in the fall.
3. Discussed additonal details on a micro grid plan for the center of town.
4. Discussed the impact to Old Lyme and the new bike trail possibilities with the new railroad bridge over the river and the widening/relocation of the existing railbed. More details to follow
